About the Role
The Booking Administrator will be responsible for effectively and efficiently co-ordinating a large caseload of patients from referral to admission, ensuring the standards of Nuffield Health are upheld at all times. You will be required to liaise with patients, consultants and their secretaries, as well as multiple stakeholders within the hospital. To succeed as a Bookings Administrator you will:

  • Co-ordinate complex or multiple communications concurrently.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, consultants, secretaries and internal colleagues to ensure the smooth and efficient booking process of patient procedures.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of all caseload activities in accordance with company processes and procedures and within agreed timescales.

  • Ensure all data/information is entered, modified, maintained and presented accurately and efficiently using the appropriate electronic or manual system and format.

  • Prepare standard and ad hoc reports as requested and required by the department

  • Manage all inpatient queries prior to admission.

  • Ensure that the referrer is kept up to date on all activities as required

  • Dispatch communications (reports, emails, telephone calls) to relevant parties to ensure cases are processed effectively and efficiently and within agreed specified timescales.

  • Deliver a professional and caring service at all times

 

The person

As an experienced Customer Service individual you will have the following skills;

  • Previous experience working in a fast paced health care or customer service environment

  • Demonstrable ability to prioritise and organise a workload of changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent telephone Manner

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

  • Good working knowledge of excel, word, outlook, bespoke database

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • An understanding of the importance of policies and operating procedures

Salary - £17,433 pro-rata

Location - Hereford Hospital

Hours - Part-time, 22.5 hours per week
