Senior Revenue Analyst - Bournemouth 

An exciting opportunity to be part of a growing company in the UK holiday industry. We are looking for someone with proven revenue management experience to help develop & operate our company revenue management program.

We are a holiday company with 11 UK resorts ranging from classic holiday parks to premium hotels. You will be an experienced revenue analyst with the ability to proactively develop & manage both strategic & dynamic pricing. A can-do attitude, self-starter mindset, adaptability to rapid change and growth are a must.

 Working from our Bournemouth office, reporting to the group revenue manager you will work closely with the group revenue manager and the wider marketing team. You will develop and implement pricing strategies & promotional offers aligned to our group marketing activity and targets. We are looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset & passion for revenue growth. The successful candidate will also need to acknowledge and adapt to operational and wider strategic considerations.

 

While this role is based in our Bournemouth office some travel is required for regular site visits and meetings with agency partners. This can be to any areas of the UK and occasional overnight stays will be required. Your contracted ours will be 40 per week Monday to Friday, occasional weekend or evening work may be required due to business needs.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Analysing customer booking trends & yields on a daily basis and manipulating price and promotion to maximise revenue accordingly.
  • Formulating longer term revenue strategies based on trend, competitor, and market data.
  • Assisting the revenue manager with forecasting revenue and demand for allocated products withing the current and future years.
  • Production of regular MI/KPI data for the marketing and senior management teams, including insight into drivers and possible actions.
  • Liaising with the finance department on the production of forecasts/budgets and reporting of monthly results.
  • Assisting in relationship management with key online travel agent (OTA) partners, to deliver the desired yields and volumes and access wider market insight.
  • Input and maintenance of pricing withing the company revenue system. Identifying issues and formulating solutions with the company systems team as required.
  • Co-ordinating with the wider marketing team to align price & promotional activity including agreeing offer product selection, timing and dynamics.
  • Collaborating with the customer service and operational teams to keep site General Managers informed of the company revenue/marketing strategy and ensuring that any operational and customer service considerations have been fully considered.

Job requirements

Essential

 

  • At least three years’ experience in a revenue management role involving perishable inventory.  
  • Educated to ‘A’ level standard.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to analyse complex scenarios and solve problems, formulate recommendations and communicate them effectively
  • Completing work to a high level of accuracy and detail, maintaining focus, energy and effort when under pressure

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience of revenue management within the holiday park, hotel, airline or cruise industries.
  • Degree in business, economics, travel & tourism, operational research or similar.
  • Experience of using Power BI or equivalent data manipulation tools.
  • Awareness of broader marketing principles and methods.  
  • Experience using channel management and or holiday park booking systems.
