Head of Leisure - King's Lynn & West Norfolk

Alive West Norfolk is a not for profit wholly owned Local Authority company of the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk established in 2019 to deliver high quality and efficient leisure and arts services to the people of west Norfolk. 

The Head of Leisure is a new post which will take responsibility for our four leisure centres and our health and wellness service. This will include direct line management of an experienced team of managers responsible for the day-to-day operation of each of these areas of the business.  The role will form part of a new senior management team for the company, reporting directly to our Managing Director, and you will work closely with our Head of Arts and Entertainment and Head of Performance and Development to ensure the delivery of our new business strategy which is currently in the final stages of development.  You will be responsible for leading the development of your team and the services they provide, achievement of budget and attendance targets and the overall performance of all leisure sites. You will also use your knowledge and expertise to identify new industry trends and gaps in our provision and develop proposals to implement new activities to our centres and enhance the health and wellness of our local community.

If you are a talented and experienced leisure manager, looking for a varied and challenging workload this is an excellent opportunity to join our team at an exciting time as we progress our vision to provide a sustainable platform to deliver health, leisure and cultural services within west Norfolk.  You will have at least five years practical experience at a senior level within the leisure and sports industry, including experience of managing services across multiple sites, supported by a professional qualification or degree in a relevant subject area.  You will have strong financial management skills and be committed to achieving high standards across all aspects of leisure service delivery.
