Sales & Events Manager

We are looking for a proactive, experienced & professional Sales & Event Manager to join our team!

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE To pro-actively seek incremental pre-booked sales and events to grow your venues’ overall sales

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Market, maximise and grow booking revenue of the business by designing and delivering strategic sales and event plans that are specifically designed to meet the needs of the business and drive brand awareness and increase sales
  • Target specific businesses, identify and contact key decision makers through cold calling and online intelligence gathering
  • Ensure that enquiries are dealt with promptly and professionally and deliver a high level of conversion from enquiry to confirmed booking.
  • Host on-site meetings and venue show rounds
  • Ensure that bookings and customer records are recorded accurately using DMN, and all requirements are fully discussed and understood and clearly communicated to relevant departments, to ensure that our customer experience is exceptional
  • Develop a strong digital presence for the bar by ensuring the website and booking platforms are up to date and social content is engaging and represents the core values of the brand, to drive awareness and sales
  • Proactively build and grow databases with key contacts and businesses for each individual venue in compliance with GDPR regulations
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with third party suppliers
  • Attend networking events to drive awareness of  venues to drive corporate bookings across the group and ensure you are a high-profile figure amongst networking forums and local businesses
  • Be active with local initiatives to promote the venues in the local area with the aim of increasing bookings
  • Keep abreast of competitor activity, complete competitor analysis and be aware of new openings
  • Understand the needs of the venues and have a good working relationship with General Managers and onsite teams
  • Daily recording of sales activities
  • Using Fishbowl to build email campaigns to drive awareness and sales
  • To perform any other duties as requested by the management team

  • Excellent interpersonal skill, both face to face and over the phone
  • Excellent planning, communication and organisational skills
  • Commercially astute, with a genuine interest in the industry
  • A persuasive seller and exceptional closing skills
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • To be well presented and professional
  • Flexible - working hours may vary due to the needs of the business
  • Computer literate, especially MS office
  • Ability to work as part of a team
