Retail Assistant - Epsom

The Royal Automobile Club has a 350 acre estate based in Epsom and we are now looking for a Retail Assistant to join our Club shop. Supporting the day-to-day running of the shop this role is pivotal in providing exceptional levels of service to our Members.

This role will work closely with the Sales & Marketing Executive to manage online orders via the Online Shop, fulfilling home delivery and Click & Collect orders.  

The role is 40 hours Monday to Saturday with a day off in the week.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Provide a first class service to our members at all times
  • Monitor sales of products and replenish where stocks are depleted
  • Provide a service expected by the Royal Automobile Club members referring to the appropriate feedback from appropriate benchmarking companies
  • Track and monitor member’s orders, including packaging and preparing orders for home delivery, prepare bags for click & collect orders and to ensure deadlines are met and a constant line of communication is open
  • Maintain a professional standard within the Club Shop to ensure it is well stocked, priced, clean, sized ordered and items of clothing are correctly folded and/or hung on the correct hanger
  • Have a coherent understanding of products available and sound knowledge to best advise members on making purchases
  • Provide support to the Sales & Marketing team in order to ensure that all orders are completed efficiently
  • Be innovative with new ideas that can enhance the performance and service of the Club Shop
  • Complete monthly stock takes thoroughly and accurately to the best of your ability
  • Adhere to the Club Health and Safety Policy
