Casual Swimming Instructor - Widnes and Runcorn Leisure Centres

Active Halton are looking for outstanding swimming teachers to join our team as we look to develop and revitalise the swimming lesson programme. If you are passionate about delivering fun, engaging and high-quality swimming lessons, we would love to hear from you!

Widnes and Runcorn Leisure Centres.

Casual hours:

  • Weekdays (4pm-7pm)
  • Weekends (AM/PM)
  • School Swimming (9-3pm)

You must be available on weekdays and weekends.

With a SEQ Level 2 teaching qualification or equivalent and industry recognised certificates such as the National Rescue Award for Swim Teachers and Coaches or NPLQ, you will be an experienced swimming teacher with a positive and professional attitude.

You will have an understanding of the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework and be able to effectively plan lessons for a variety of different ages and abilities. With excellent communication skills, you will have the ability to motivate learners in reaching their full potential.

You will be flexible, available on weekdays and weekends. You will be available for sickness and holiday cover as/when required.

You will have sound judgement and be able to make decisions whilst following procedures in a potential rescue situation, remaining calm throughout.
