LIFEGUARDS - OASIS BEACH POOL!
We have various working contracts available, casual, part time and full time, and our salaries and pay rates are very competitive.
The centre we are recruiting for is Oasis Beach Pool, Cardington Rd, Bedford MK42 0BZ
We are looking for local people who are interested in stepping into a career in the Leisure Industry, or add to their existing skill-set and experience.
The Recruitment Open Day will be held as follows:
LOCATION: Kempston Pool, Hillgrounds Rd, Kempston, Bedford MK42 8SZ
DATE: Wednesday 5th May 2021
TIME: 10am - 3pm
There will be a swim test as part of the Recruitment Open Day so please don't forget your swim kit!!
If you are successful at the swim test, you will also have an individual, face-to-face interview. Those individuals that are successful after both stages may be given a *conditional offer of employment (if you already hold a NPLQ) or will be offered a place on a NPLQ course with a view of employment once qualified.
Successful candidates will need to be able to attend a **National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course, which will be running for 5 days, starting: Monday 10th May 2021
**If you are unable to attend the course dates and you do not currently hold a NPLQ, unfortunately we would not be able to consider your application at this stage.
In order to be considered for one of our positions, you need to be a strong swimmer with excellent customer service skills. You will also need to meet the following criteria for Lifeguard positions:
Swim 50 meters on front and back
Swim 50 meters within 65 seconds
Tow a casualty 25 meters within 65 seconds
Recover a casualty from the deepest part of the pool
Tread water in deep water for 30 seconds
Climb out of the pool unaided without using steps or ladder
Read a sign at the far end of the pool
