  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that continually deliver improvements in operational performance, supplier delivery and financial targets and update regularly to mirror business strategies.
  • Monitor business trends for both Parkdean Resorts and category areas and present business feedback on innovative procurement methods.
  • Become a trusted advisor to the business and gain an understanding of all aspects of the Parkdean Resorts business.
  • Manage procurement projects, formulate strategies, and develop cross functional teams to deliver projects successfully.
  • Complete management of the ‘end to end’ procurement process. Ensuring best practice approach at all times.
  • Lead sourcing activities through cross functional teams to deliver projects successfully. With the ability to support stakeholders in their understanding of the procurement process. Draft tenders and lead the process of selecting new suppliers. Plan and manage the implementation of new agreements.
  • Actively lead and plan negotiation strategies and execute to benefit Parkdean Resorts
  • Continually build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships at all levels within the organisation.
  • Provide professional procurement guidance to the business and seek out opportunities for adding value and reducing costs.
  • Support the procurement team in becoming and maintaining a centre of excellence through actively promoting the benefits that procurement can bring to the organisation to maintain engagement and early involvement in sourcing activities.
  • Cultivate and manage existing supplier relationships to deliver continuous improvement in performance and access to innovation, ensuring that Parkdean Resorts is a customer of first choice. As well as developing relationships within the market with potential new suppliers.
  • You have a duty to safeguard your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, customers and visitors. You also have a duty to co-operate with Management to enable it to comply with its health and safety duties.

Person Specification

  • Experienced in category planning and the development and implementation of innovative sourcing solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and organisation skills
  • Commercially minded with good negotiation skills
  • The ability to quickly gain personal credibility and effectively build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • The ability to work at pace and adapt quickly to changing environments
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong drive for results
  • Making the complex simple
  • MCIPS qualified
  • Retail, leisure or hospitality experience
  • The capability to analyse data and tailor presentations for all levels of the business
  • Understanding of contract law and commercial terms and conditions
