Leisure Team Leader - Newton Abbot

We are looking for an Leisure Team Leader to join our existing team, in our £11 million Leisure Complex at the 5 star Finlake holiday park. Haulfryn is the UK’s leading family owned Holiday and Residential Park business, celebrating over 80 years of business.  Finlake Holiday Resort is the largest holiday resort within the Haulfryn Group and offers an amazing range of 5 star holiday accommodation, superb leisure facilities, including a spa,  water park and gym, outdoor swimming pool and the delights of Devon on your doorstep.

Our Leisure Team Leader will work alongside our current Leisure Manager, as well as oversee the day to day running of the Leisure complex during their shift, which will include all aspects of Health & Safety, as well as ensuring customers are happy, team members are clearly communicated with and deployed to the right places to ensure the complex is kept clean and tidy at all times. As part of this role, you will be responsible for our Health & Fitness experience on the resortensuring these areas achieve the agreed monthly targets and KPI's so as to positively grow the business and services. This role also provides you with the opportunity to learn all aspects of the business in preparation for your next career step.

It is Desirable the successful candidate has:

  • A UK recognised pool lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) 
  • First Aid at Work Certificate 
  • Pool Plant Operator qualification
  • Understanding of finances, budgets and a clear drive to achieve individual and group targets
  • Supervisory experience in the hospitality or service industry
  • Experience of working in wet & dry operations 
  • Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade. 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills 
  • Good numerical and written skills
