Operations Manager - The Queens - Leeds

#AllHailTheQueens

You are the “go to” expert for guest service.

You know how to make customers & guests smile through your exceptional, 5* first-class service.

You also know how to build, engage & develop team members.

The iconic, Queens Hotel is currently undergoing a significant £16million repositioning.  One of the driving forces behind the refurbishment is restoring the hotel to its former glory, retaining, and creating new memories so we know there has never been a more exciting time to join our team!

The full transformation will be unveiled in the summer and includes refurbishment of all 15 meeting rooms, renovation of all bedrooms, as well as creating an exciting ‘social hub’ at the heart of the hotel. The totally transformed ground floor will offer a multitude of communal areas, as well as creating a boutique and personal check-in area.

One of the centre-pieces of the refurbishment will undoubtedly be the completely transformed bar & dining experience, with a twist….watch this space….

Guests can expect what is set to be the best cocktail and dining experience in Leeds, with a vibrant wine bar, outdoor terrace that spills out into the heart of City.

Our people will be at the heart of our success.  So we are focussing more than ever on the development of our team members!

What will I do?

As the Operations Manager of this amazing property, you will support the General Manager, Alistair Campbell with the day to day running of the hotel.  You’ll oversee the day-to-day commercial aspect of the hotel, driving revenue & profitability.  Taking a hands-on approach to ensuring the success of the hotel.

You’ll lead a team across our Guest Experience, Front of House, F&B and M&E operations.  You’ll know how to engage your team, identify development opportunities and know how to really nurture talent.

You’ll make sure that all teams work together to provide a first class and memorable stay, always looking out for opportunities to improve.

Is this the role for me?

We are looking for this role to commence in July 2021.

It’s an exciting time to join the team at The Queens, with the repositioning, transformation and having welcomed the team back from being on furlough there will be lots to do so will not be an Operations Manager role for the faint hearted!

You’ll need to be someone who isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck into the day to day running of the hotel.  As we rebuild (literally) and reopen, you may find yourself needing to check in guests, serve at breakfast or support with room service – you’re someone who can lead by example.

You’ll be a strong leader and key to making sure the teams, having returned to work are fully energised, engaged and fully trained…..raring to go!

You’ll need to be someone who can identify & drive sales opportunities with a good commercial view.  Knowing how a city centre, 4/5* hotel can really maximise on its location and service offering is crucial.

If you want to be one of our future leaders – get in touch!
