Head of Recruitment – in a nutshell
We are looking for a senior member of the People team to lead Côte’s approach to recruitment & employer brand – someone who can create opportunities from what others might perceive as challenges when it comes to attracting talent in the hospitality sector.
Getting into the detail
Lead the strategic development of Côte’s recruitment & employer brand to ensure we have an industry-leading approach that fully reflects our People Promise & promotes Côte as the place to work in the sector.
Ensure that we leverage every touchpoint of the candidate experience to create brand advocates, irrespective of outcome.
Manage & develop the Recruitment team to deliver high quality processes (including sourcing, assessment, hiring, & recruiting operations) across all channels that balance immediate pressures with longer-term priorities, ensuring that we’re attracting a diverse pipeline of talent & mitigating any risks from immigration laws post-Brexit.
Build new recruitment channels for Côte to explore (e.g. catering colleges, universities, charities supporting people into work, industry events, etc.).
Identify opportunities & represent Côte in sector collaborations to promote careers in hospitality.
Lead senior level searches & others as needed to support business demands.
Strategically partner with the business & the wider People team to fully understand all recruitment needs to ensure processes are user-friendly & efficient, & that hiring managers are equipped with the necessary tools & knowledge, including quality MI & reporting.

An exceptional recruitment specialist, with proven ability to translate workforce requirements & growth plans into a successfully delivered & commercial recruitment strategy, which is fully compliant with UK legislation.
Skilled at developing & delivering successful employer branding, both strategically & tactically.
Knowledgeable of working with applicant tracking systems & candidate relationship management tools.
Experienced in culture change & fully understand the vital role that recruitment plays in that, by enhancing our external reputation, & attracting & selecting the right talent who become loyal brand advocates.
Exceptionally organised, with well-honed project management skills & demonstrable experience of owning & managing multiple complex projects from start to finish.
A strong influencer, who isn’t afraid to speak up, deliver & receive feedback, whilst remaining professional & kind.
A highly skilled communicator with well-honed verbal & written skills, & great attention to detail.
Curious & able to skilfully & respectfully challenge the status quo.
Confident & credible to represent Côte & act as a brand & culture ambassador to your client group & in the wider industry.
Our head office is in Fitzrovia, London, but UK-wide travel will be required & remote working is standard practice.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chef Recruitment Manager to join our team, recruiting for chefs of all levels within Cote Restaurants. As a Recruitment Manager you will be responsible for day to day Back of House restaurant recruitment, as well as building full kitchen teams for our new openings, as we continue to open more restaurants across the UK. You will also be responsible for implementing new ideas, including recruitment strategy and new methods of candidate attraction. We’re looking for someone who will put their own stamp on our BOH recruitment. The role requires flexibility as we have restaurants situated across all of the UK and you may be required to travel. It is very important that you can build good relationships not only with candidates but also Operations Managers, as you will be dealing directly with both groups of people on a daily basis.
