An opportunity has arisen for a HR Support Manager to join the team in Newcastle upon Tyne!

Reporting into the Head of People Operations you will ensure our internal and external customers receive an efficient, professional and best-in-class service. Working closely with the HR Business Partners you will be responsible for HR analytics and cyclical activity.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the end to end process for HR administration through the team life cycle. This includes producing offer letters, employment contracts, change to terms letters, through to confirmation of leaving.
  • Responsible for data Maintenance & Integrity, providing administrative support, including maintaining personnel files.
  • Recording all new starters, changes to terms and leavers on the HR system and ensuring all necessary paperwork is received and filed.
  • Managing a team of up to 5
  • Managing the HR filing systems to ensure all documentation is stored in a manner that can be accessed easily and in line with GDPR.
  • Providing support and guidance to managers on standard HR policies and procedures, such as new starters, bonus and holiday.
  • Monitoring and managing all queries in the centralised HR mailbox within the timeframes identified in the company SLA.
  • Proactively improve our reporting capability, driving self-service opportunities to enable customised ad hoc reporting
  • Developing processes and tools that support the efficient delivery of HR cyclical activity (e.g. salary review, bonus schemes) and advise on the optimal way to manage data, MI and systems
  • Enabling the detailed analysis of organisational data, analytics and employee insights to identify key trends, risks and opportunities to inform the People Strategy
  • Supporting general HR projects as-and-when required.


The successful candidate will:

  • Ideally have previous experience in an HR function
  • Have a CIPD qualification with up to date membership
  • Ability to communicate complex data in an engaging and compelling way
  • Continuous improvement mind set with drive and energy to deliver pragmatic solutions
  • Self-starter who has the ability to deal with ambiguity and changing and conflicting demands
  • Previous experience in a highly analytical role
  • Extensive MI reporting experience
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in integrating new systems would be desirable
