In this role you will have the specific purpose of managing the administration and development of the University’s Performance Sport Programme. Reporting to the Head of Sport & Physical Activity, the responsibilities include the management of club sport through BUCS and general competitions; the UEA Sports Scholarship programme (supporting more than a hundred athletes across three tiers); the Sportspark initiated community performance athlete scheme (Norfolk Sports Academy); and developing the focus sport programme. This is all in close collaboration with relevant University departments, sports NGB’s and external clubs and agencies. This is further supported by a performance development approach for student club sport, in association with the uea+sport team.

You will have a degree in Physical Education or Sports Science (or equivalent qualification or directly relevant experience) together with demonstrable experience of working and reporting on projects against agreed targets, and have the ability to source/generate new income streams.  A clear understanding of the performance pathways in UK Sport, as well as performance sport administration, programming, and service delivery is essential.

This appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

The Sportspark at the University of East Anglia is one of the largest sports complexes in the UK.
