Finance Analyst - Leeds

As our Supplier Funding Recovery Analyst you will play a key role within our Asda Business Services Business Support team. You will have responsibility for the management of our Supplier Funding Recoveries process which will involve engagement with both our third party auditors and the trading teams.
As an Analyst you will be responsible for managing the recovery of missed supplier promotional funding; ensuring contracts are in place and co-ordinating the forecast and month end process. You'll liaise, engage and co-ordinate with Trading teams, suppliers and third party auditors to ensure recoveries are maximised, and manage escalations, providing clear action plans to resolve.
You'll ensure all relevant contracts are in place with our third party auditors and coordinate with the Compliance Team to ensure that we are GSCOP compliant and ensure that relevant claim review framework are in place. You'll also collate and distribute a quarterly report to stakeholders across the business, highlighting where appropriate, suppliers of concern to the relevant business owner
Ability to make commercial and financially sensible business decisions while gaining stakeholder agreement Good negotiator who delivers the right result for Asda while being sensitive to stakeholders concerns Understanding of P&L performance and basic accounting principles (double entry, accruals)
Strong analytical skills resulting in clear conclusions and informed decisions
