Room Attendants: 30 to 40 hrs per week

Evening Turndown:  15 hrs per week

The Newt in Somerset is a new and unique destination already attracting a recognition at the highest level.  Our 300-year-old estate complete with woodland, lush gardens and breath-taking views welcomes guests from all over the world. Our hotel is a home from home where our team deliver outstanding service in informal surroundings.  Gardens, orchards, and treetop walkways inspire whilst roaring fires and our wellbeing spa offer tranquility.

Our individually designed rooms need a lot of care and attention to ensure that every guest feels that they are first to have ever stayed in their room. This means we need people who are perfectionists with high level of attention to detail and who can apply our high standards. We expect all our guests to enjoy a relaxing and friendly visit so all our staff must be friendly and happy to talk to our guests.

Position Summary
These roles are for self-motivated individuals who can work under the time pressure. It involves working alone but also working as a team to support each other. Our housekeeping team have immaculate standards and they deliver those standards day after day.  Our main goal is to provide the best experience to our guest. 

Key Responsibilities:
- Change bed linen and make beds
- Clean bathrooms
- Replace used towels
- Vacuum and mop floors
- Dusting
- Replenish bath care products (e.g. soap and shampoo)
- Restock beverages
- Clean public areas of the hotel and surrounds
- Report any technical issues and maintenance needs
- Address guests’ queries (e.g. on additional services)
- Help guests retrieve lost items
- Ensure all assigned rooms are clean and tidy by the end of the shift
- Follow hotel security guidelines
- Assist colleagues & other departments where required

Skills and Experience
- Must hold a clean UK Driving licence- Experience as a Room Attendant but not necessary as we provide training
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products
- Good physical health and stamina
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends
- Ability to work with little supervision while meeting high-performance standards
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to follow instruction
