Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa, Bedfordshire, has an exciting opportunity available for a Assistant Financial Controller to join our Accounts team.
Assistant Financial Controller Overview
The role of the Assistant Financial is responsible the effective operations of the hotel's accounts department. You will be working closely with the management team to ensure all relevant financial controls are in place to maximise the profitability of the business. You should have the ability to analyse and explain financial variances with the operational management team. Manage a small finance team ensuring accurate recording of revenue and payments to include the completion of bank reconciliations, credit and stock controls.
While professional qualifications would be an advantage experience is essential with a desire to lead a team via training and development. Previous experience working within the hotel sector, preferably at top end 4 /5* properties would be advantageous.
You will need excellent verbal communication skills, be highly organised, self motivated and have the ability to work within deadlines to meet business and customer demands whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Proven experience of managing a team in the Line Managers absence is essential.
