Who we are

At Weezy, we are proud to be the UK’s first on-demand supermarket! Our mission is to deliver life-essentials, creating ever more happy and spontaneous moments at home. We’re doing this by delivering groceries in under 15 minutes! Behind the scenes, we’re building a network of dark stores across London and beyond, while leaning on a rider network to deliver our customers’ orders.

Launched in July 2020 by Alec and Kristoff with £1m pre-seed from Heartcore Capital (see TechCrunch for more info) we’re experiencing amazing customer growth, retention and NPS and looking to 10x Weezy’s footprint over the next 12 months across London and the UK. This is a unique opportunity to build a UK-wide consumer brand and something that everyone will instantly recognise, which we think is pretty cool.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

As likely the first human interaction in the candidate journey with Weezy you will act as an ambassador of the Weezy employer brand at Store Operations level

  • Advertise, CV shortlist and first stage telephone screen new applicants on our ATS - Workable for Store Operations Managers (SOMs) and Team Leaders (TLs)
  • Be able to identify what makes a good Weezard as Store Operations Manager and Team Leader level and use this info to zero-in on future hires
  • Arrange next stage interviews into your stakeholders (hiring managers) diary using our ATS Workable
  • Make verbal offers agreeing salary and location of new hires
  • Communicate with applicants that have completed our recruitment journey with constructive feedback when they are unsuccessful
  • Attend project meetings to support various operational improvements related to our people
  • Support the Operations Talent team wider activities such as CDR (Customer Delivery Rep) recruitment, assessment days and new starter induction/onboarding and facilitation
  • Utilise your creativity to identify new sources of talent pipeline
  • Manage advertising budgets and report on ROI
  • Utilise social media such as LinkedIn to promote Weezy opportunities
  • Use a range of data/MI to report on your activity and identify potential bottlenecks or risks to people resource/pipeline of new and existing Weezy sites

Requirements

Who you are:

  • You thrive in a fast paced environment that can often be ambiguous and face challenges and obstacles with a positive mindset
  • Have recruited at management/leadership level within Retail, Hospitality or any other service based industry at either agency or in-house environments
  • Natural rapport builder able to make instant positive and memorable connections with your candidates
  • You’re candidate experience obsessed and have curiosity in abundance and want to make the Weezy recruitment process the slickest around
  • You have a strong memory and are able to recall important details about your candidates (desired)
  • You can quickly switch your focus and manage your time effectively in a constantly changing environment
  • Confident with using various tech, apps and systems to perform your duties
