Release Coordinator

As a Release Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing activity that delivers the release lifecycle on all digital platforms which releases across all brands, both web and app. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, Projects and Programmes.

You will coordinate the release processes for code through development, test, and production environments for specific changes as defined by the Release Manager.  You will work collaboratively with all participants in the relevant software development projects to achieve the required outcomes.

You will measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budgets, ensuring that expectations are met or exceeded. You will support the communication of project plans for their releases, undertake weekly release reporting and develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms as directed.

You will coordinate work between different teams at different locations as required, conducting Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews for their release projects and communicate release details and schedules to the Business.

Key Skills Required:

  • Ideally educated to degree level (Computer Science or related subject)
  • Some proven release and project management experience - ITIL or Prince 2 qualifications are desirable
  • Significant experience in an information systems operations environment (in systems analysis or development)
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams towards task completion
  • Demonstrated effective analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Web Sphere and other major platforms
