Mobile Newt is our online food delivery service, a new business developed at The Newt in Somerset during the Covid-19 pandemic. Mobile Newt has proven to be extremely popular and is now thriving, delivering fresh product locally and in London as well as ambient goods nationwide via a courier network. Provenance is at the heart of what we do here at The Newt and we pride ourselves on delivering our fresh, quality produce direct to our customers.  Working in a business which strives for excellence and an eye for detail, Mobile Newt works with the estate departments to develop new products, increasing our offering and showcasing the best of the estate.

 

Position Summary

We are looking to hire an experienced digital marketer who is excited by the prospect of designing, launching and optimising the digital marketing strategy that scales Mobile Newt.  You know how to drive performance through all marketing channels and how to nurture an audience to grow lifetime value through repeat engagement.  You enjoy collaboration and relish the prospect of being part of a small team in a fast-paced environment. You spot opportunities in data and enjoy working closely with creative teams to develop campaigns that succeed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Plan and manage Mobile Newt’s digital marketing activity, including SEO/SEM, email and paid social.
  • Lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Implement a retention marketing strategy that utilises optimised user journeys to drive repeat purchase and maximise LTV.
  • Work closely with the Newt’s marketing to ensure digital campaigns are aligned with overall objectives.
  • Manage activity budgets, track spend and highlight amendments.
  • Report on the performance of all digital marketing channels using relevant analytics tools, working closely with our remote marketing services team.
  • Provide weekly channel performance analysis (Monday), identifying trends and insights on the key drivers behind performance.
  • Work with our creative teams to ensure copy and content drives performance while building brand.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create automated email campaigns, landing pages, and optimize user experience.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.

Skills and Experience 

  • Experienced digital marketer with a proven track record of delivering growth and driving repeat purchase.
  • Good numeracy skills, analytical and results driven with a strong ability to interpret and effectively communicate marketing performance to key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with confidence making data-led recommendations.
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage and convert.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisation skills.
  • An eye for design.
  • A passion and enthusiasm for all things digital.
  • An appreciation of balancing growth with brand and operational goals.
  • A continually curious mind, you’ll be on top of the latest digital trends.
  • Understanding of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Instagram Insights) and how these should inform content strategy.
