Department Description

You will work in achieving our vision to deliver a seamless guest journey from pre-arrival to post-stay communications and interactions. You will offer the most exceptional guest service possible and nurture a strong sense of pride in the products and services the estate provides. You will also be integral in ensuring a sense of community with colleagues in all parts of the estate

Position Summary

This is a role for a self-motivated, confident and personable individual with high attention to detail. The role involves leading the host team daily, ensuring all guest needs are looked after during their experience with us on the estate. Hosting our guests from their arrival to the estate through to and beyond their departure. To support the Front of House Manager in the development of the host team. Ensuring the adherence of SOPS and company policy. To assist in the recruitment, training, discipline and pastoral care of the front of house team. To perform management shifts and support the general operation of the hotel and wider estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming guests on arrival
  • Orientating guests around the estate
  • Proactively assist guest’s with enquiries
  • Respond to requests, pre-empting any further enquires guests may have
  • Manage guest expectations
  • Payment handling
  • Recruitment
  • Team development
  • Duty management
  • To have a full knowledge of the services and products that the estate offers
  • Enforce company parameters & cancellation policies
  • Ensure data is stored securely
  • Assist colleagues & other departments where required
  • Support the Great Garden Escape operationally

Skills and Experience

  • Hotel duty management experience preferred
  • Experience in the hospitality industry required
  • Personable
  • Experience as a supervisor or shift leader preferred
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management and the ability to effectively prioritise workload
  • Self-motivated with initiative and genuine interest in guest satisfaction
  • Problem solving skills and innovative thinking
  • Teamworking skills and enjoying working in a team environment
  • Microsoft office and basic computer skills
  • Willingness to learn and work with a variety of systems
