Club Manager - Reading

Our Club in Chatham Place Reading has been open for more than 7 years. We are now exiting from the worst effects of the pandemic and lockdowns and need to drive and capitalise on the revived interest in Health, Fitness and Wellness generally and in the new developments in Anytime Fitness and the Reading Club in particular. Plans are in place for an extensive Club refurbishment and upgrade, to present a truly premium Members Club to an aspirational and selective membership demographic.
We are therefore looking to recruit a new Club Manager to take over the day-to-day club management role who has the vision and enthusiasm to drive the success of this re-imagined facility..
The Club Manager will be responsible for both the sales and marketing initiatives for the Club and the operational duties of running of the facilities. This will involve managing a small and motivated team of membership advisors in the ongoing sale of new memberships, generation of prospective members and marketing the gym to the local community as well as managing maintenance and cleaning schedules to ensure that franchise brand standards are maintained and ensuring Health and Safety protocols are fully complied with.
You will have worked in a management role within the fitness industry and have experience of working in a customer-facing, target driven environment with a proven track record of achieving results. You will enjoy working within a structured and successful sales process working to agreed KPIs and have the attention to detail to ensure the club is always operating to the highest brand standards.
Most of all you must have a can-do attitude, a desire to succeed, and an ability to lead and influence others.
A typical day can be varied – from promoting the club face to face and over the phone; to attending local events and talking to corporate clients; to planning the marketing and advertising strategy; to managing and motivating your team including cleaning and maintenance and ensuring Small Group Training classes and PT sessions are run on schedule.
You will be managed against your own and the Club KPIs and will be involved at a senior level in establishing your club as the No1 Premium 24/7 fitness facility in the local area.
You will drive the superb Anytime Fitness culture within the club and exhibit that culture it out in the local community to all our prospective members. This will be achieved through pro-actively setting up and then implementing a monthly Marketing plan as well as leading and developing your team.
