Full Time and Part Time Swim Instructor Roles Available - April 2021 Start Date
With the reopening of swimming pools beginning in April, Turner Swim are getting prepared for an increase in demand for our adult swimming lessons. We are hiring, with both a full time and a part time swim instructor position available.
We are actively recruiting for enthusiastic Level 2 qualified swimming teachers or coaches, with a competitive aquatics background (club level or above) and who have a real passion for teaching and coaching swimming.
This is a unique opportunity for the right swimming professionals to work with a broad range of clients on a one-to-one-basis; from people who are water phobic, through to open water training of triathletes. The role is for someone who enjoys a real challenge, as we gain results that are unexpected in the adult swim teaching industry. Gaining these results feels very rewarding.
Ongoing training is provided to enhance your skills as a teacher. This could include; lifesaving, specific water phobia training, advanced stroke analysis and customer services training.
We are expanding our provision of lessons in London:
The full-time swimming instructor role is for up to 32 teaching hours per week, across 5 days, with two consecutive days off a week including either a Saturday or Sunday. We are looking for the very best swimming coaches in the UK for this role.
Our part-time swim instructor roles available are typically weekday early mornings 6:30am-9:30am, or weekday evenings 5pm-9:15pm. A part time role may well suit someone who is also studying, working on other interests, teaching children elsewhere, or being a parent too. We are looking to expand our interesting and diverse team who tend to keep themselves busy in life!
Turner Swim was founded in 2013 to provide the best quality one-to-one adult swimming tuition in London and is run by a former international aquatic team member.
Turner Swim provide original one-to-one adult swimming lessons at six luxury hotels in Central London, luxury hotels in Manchester, Reading, Exeter, Hinckley, Warwickshire and one overseas 5-star hotel venue. We are launching into other UK cities and towns shortly. These one-to-one sessions enable us to get brilliant results in a short space of time which then brings a great sense of satisfaction to our instructors. During the summer months we also offer open water sessions at the dock’s in Canary Wharf.
All our instructors are employees. There is a pension scheme and also a bonus scheme, designed to reward the best swimming instructors in the industry.
We have a reputation of being one of the best providers of swimming lessons in London and therefore, are looking for additional elite team members. The successful candidates should have intelligence, charisma, enthusiasm and a keenness to learn in order to deliver a 5-star service. We really would like to meet candidates who are passionate about teaching and helping others succeed!

Duties will include:
- Delivering fantastic one-to-one adult lessons following the Turner Swim programme syllabus and teaching methods.
- Building a strong relationship with clients, facility staff and management.
- Expanding swimming and triathlon knowledge through attending regular Turner Swim instructor development sessions.
- Recording client's progress.
- Ensuring a safe learning environment is provided for clients, hotel guests and spa staff.
- Regularly reporting to management and attending team training (predominantly online).
