What you need to know about the role...

The Property and Acquisitions team is fundamental to The Gym's low-cost, no contract, 24x7 offering. We are growing our member base at pace, through estate growth & planning.

We are searching for a highly driven and experienced surveyor ideally from the retail / leisure sector. With a particular focus on London and The South, this is a challenging but extremely rewarding role, operating in a fast-paced and exciting part of the business.

This role offers exposure to the senior leadership team and requires you to report and present suitable opportunities to Head of Property Acquisitions, as well as members of the Executive and Plc Board.

As Senior Acquisitions Manager you will also:

• Be responsible for identifying, appraising and securing, suitable opportunities which meet tried and tested property criteria, whilst in turn helping to shape our strategic expansion strategy.
• Work closely with our team of project managers, ensuring that plans, specifications and associated costs are constantly reflective of principle requirements and agreed terms.

To enrich our great team, we are looking for a Senior Acquisitions Manager who embraces their role, the team and our culture.

We're looking for someone who is clearly able to demonstrate:

• Ideally RICS qualified, you will have a proven track record of delivering an ambitious pipeline of suitable opportunities, within either the retail or leisure sector. This could either be from an agency or client-side background.
• As well as having an excellent knowledge of L&T matters, you be able to build strong relationships and in turn will bring with you a proven and reliable network of landlords, agents and other property professionals.
• You will need to be a confident communicator and experienced negotiator, always taking ownership of your performance. Whilst consistently approaching your work with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Working closely with internal and external consultants, you will be experienced in overseeing the smooth progress from initial identification, financial appraisal, agreement of heads of terms, through to completion of lease.
• You will be able to demonstrate a high level of resilience and commercial acumen, whilst adapting and overcoming various challenges as and when they may present themselves.
• A good understanding of using in-house appraisal tools, as well as other IT and computer-based programmes is required.
• The successful candidate will be able to show passion for the product whilst always conducting themselves in a manner which represents The Gym Group values and inclusive culture.
