Reservations Coordinator - London

We have an exciting new opportunity in Gaucho's & M Restaurants Central Reservations Team for a Reservations Coordinator. The ideal candidate may have previous experience in a guest facing reservations role within hospitality, and have a confident and warm personality.

The primary function of this role is to be fully accountable for the reservations for the restaurants in terms of guest experience, maximising covers, legal compliance and communication with the restaurant managers. The reservationist works closely the Central Reservations manager to run a smooth and successful operation to support the restaurants. 

As the first point of contact they focus on exceeding the expectations of the guest, providing smooth and efficient service, and always provide the best possible experience incorporating brand standard requirements. Candidates must be well presented, self-motivated, organised, a good team player, having a keen eye for detail. A hospitality reservations background is essential and candidates must be confident with computers, although full training on our systems will be given. As an ambassador of the business they share their vision with the management and restaurant teams to drive the business forwards.

Please note this is a full time Head Office position in Threadneedle Street, Bank, London: The hours are flexible as you will be required to work outside of normal hours e.g. evenings, weekends and bank holidays as these are our peak call times. Therefore we are looking for flexible candidates. Hourly wage is currently £9.25, however should the candidate be committed and dedicated, there could be opportunity to develop into a full time salaried position. 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Excellent communication including excellent command of spoken/written English
  • A warm and friendly personality is key, with high standards of professionalism and a drive to provide a memorable experience for each and every guest.
  • Previous experience within customer service, inbound/outbound call centre, control room, contact centre 
  • An ability to deal professionally, calmly and tactfully with customers and maintain strict confidentiality at all times 
  • Computer literate/Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, booking systems, Open Table, Collins
  • Ability to multi-task and work on your own initiative in a busy environment.
  • Able to provide one excellent, previous work related reference
