As a Software Developer, you can expect to work on brand-new developments rather than legacy systems. You’ll develop and design complex service solutions, as well as looking after documentation, and test creation and execution. You’ll also contribute to the agile software development lifecycle.

You’ll see your innovations rolled out across our diverse portfolio of 400+ stores and 460 vet practices, specialist referral hospitals and distribution centres around the UK. You’ll bring a good understanding of service-oriented design and software development, including knowledge of software, process and project lifecycles, and agile working practices. 

Experience of .Net, TDD, CI and CD is essential, along with micro-services development and deployment. Golang is a highly desirable attribute but we will consider candidates who don’t have experience but want to cross-train.

A customer-oriented approach is important and you’ll have strong communication and team-working skills. Forward-thinking and flexible, you’re focused on results and continuous improvement.
