?As an equality, diversity and inclusion champion for the Trust, you will have the energy and passion to contribute towards positively driving change, challenging and influencing behaviours, practices and perceptions and play a role in the development of a truly diverse and inclusive workforce assisting senior management with ensuring our services are accessible, understood and attractive to the diverse communities across Kirklees.
With demonstrable experience of implementing workplace initiatives and training to meet national and local frameworks, together with experience of communicating with, working with and influencing a diverse range of organisations and people, you will help raise the profile of the Trust's equality, diversity and inclusion agenda, sharing good practice, learning from others and applying to KAL.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to constructively challenge and influence a range of stakeholders. Essential to the role will be the capability to create and maintain excellent working relationships with staff, managers and partners. You will be able to demonstrate active listening skills, and create environments where diverse people are able to share thoughts, experiences and solutions to problems.
You will have a strong customer service approach with the confidence to advise managers and staff on aspects of equality, diversity and inclusion. You will be forward thinking, innovative, solution focussed and resilient. You will be confident working autonomously using your own initiative and prioritising, whilst recognising the value and importance of collaborative working and being a good team player.
