Job Title: Outdoor Activity Leader

Location: National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham, NG12 2LU

Job Type: Casual, seasonal, March until October 2021

Salary: £8.75 per hour

 


Holme Pierrepoint Country Park, the home of the National Water Sports Centre has excellent water facilities, accommodation, a campsite, Outdoor Adventure Zone, Life Fitness Gym and marvellous nature trails for cycling and walking, it is a favourite destination for families, schools, corporate clients and individuals.

 

Here at National Water Sports centre an exciting opportunity has arisen for Outdoor Activity Leaders to work our friendly professional team.

 

As the Outdoor Activity Leader, you will deliver a variety of activities and sessions across our fun and fantastic Outdoor and Water Adventure Departments which include Sky Trail, Climbing Wall, Lagoon activities and Lagoon Wipeout.

 

You will be the face and the first point of contact for our Outdoor Adventure Zone, making sure our customers have a safe, enjoyable and adventurous experience both on dry land and on the water.

 

You will help in facilitating a safe, fun and professional working environment with excellent development opportunities.

 

These positions our offered on a Casual Seasonal Contract between March to October, hours will mostly be at weekends and school holidays between 9am to 5.30 – 6pm, with overtime opportunities available.

  

About You

 

To be considered for this exciting role you must be available to work weekends and school holidays. Candidates who have previously worked as an Activity Leader / Sports Coach / Scout-Cadet Leader or have experience delivering activities or customer service to varied group sizes would be ideal, however we will consider candidates that do not have this experience as long as you have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and can provide outstanding customer service.

 

Essential skills for this role include being a team player, happy to support colleagues whenever necessary, able to work well under pressure and with a positive outlook and attitude.

 

Due to the varied nature of activities on offer we do require that any applicants are comfortable working with heights and are confident swimmers due to water based activities.

 

Full training and uniform will be provided to the successful candidates.

 

Please note should you be successful at your interview you will be enrolled onto an Open Water Lifeguard course on Saturday March 20th, Sunday 21st and the following Saturday 27th March.

 

Attendance is mandatory on the open water Lifeguard course so please ensure you are available on these dates before applying.
