Grounds Operative | Breckland

Location: Serco Norfolk House, Rashes Green ind. Estate, Dereham, NR19 1JG

Salary: £18,999.08 per annum

Working hours: 40 per week, Mon to Fri 7am to 3.30pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Environmental Breckland contract, as we are looking for a Grounds Operative to join the team to work at our site in Dereham.

Reporting into the Operations Manager, the successful Grounds Operative will be carrying out a range of landscape and cemetery tasks including grass-cutting, shrub-pruning, hedge-cutting, planting and weed control to name a few.

You will also be accountable for Maintaining horticultural standards, ensuring Health and Safety requirements are met and making sure vehicles and equipment are maintained.

About you

We are looking to hear from candidates who are passionate, enthusiastic and strive to give the best possible service. You will be a self-starter who is self-motivated who is willing to go the extra mile when required.

As you will at times be driving a vehicle, you must have a clean Driving Licence, show a keen interest in horticulture and it’s desirable that you have prior experience of grounds or a similar environment.

Whilst not essential, it would be of benefit if you had either an NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent and are able to operate a tractor.
