Pizzaiolo Chef – Portetta - France

With the aim to operate a 10-week season from January 2021, we are currently recruiting for a Pizzaiolo Chef to join our passionate team.

Due to the new restrictions surrounding Brexit, we can only accept applicants with an EU passport.

This is a challenging role balancing the demands of our popular and very busy ski terrace with our refined dining experience within the restaurant in the hotel.  Working with and learning from Angela Hartnett this is an opportunity like no other.  This role will allow you to demonstrate a passion for excellent food whilst playing a key role in our team to meet the challenges of both a high volume and a fine dining offering.

About Us:

Angela Hartnett has taken to the slopes of Courchevel with the Cucina Angelina, our restaurant within Hotel Portetta. The hotel is part of the award-winning Lime Wood and Home-Grown Hotels Group.

In addition to Angelina Cucina, we have our outdoor Fire & Ice terrace bar. The terrace offers the opportunity for guests to approach us straight off the piste. Here is the home of our Pizzaiolo Chef, cooking traditional thin crust pizzas in a busy satellite kitchen environment.

We are looking for a Pizzaiolo Chef who can take control of this service, juggling the preparation of pizzas whilst coordinating with the front of house team along with organising stock and rotating MEP for a busy pizza section. Experience in making, proving & balling pizza dough in bulk is essential, in addition to having the flexibility to work with the head chef and sous chef in adapting to rapidly changing business levels.
