Responsibility
- Responsible for work flow in all IT-related areas onboard, induction of new employees to the existing computer systems (back-end systems)
- Care, maintenance and running repairs of IT equipment (IP Phones, IP-TV, PC, printer, special hardware)
- Administration of the IT - infrastructure:
- Mail server, active directory, FTP - server, proxy server, file- and print server
- Technical support of all onboard IT applications
- Multimedia systems (video on demand, IP-TV, screen management, digital signages)
- Internet portal for guests and crew
- Onboard communication (satellite, TV, data, internet)
- Telephone system
- User management for all systems and applications
- Virtual server infrastructure (ESX farm)
- Storage (DataCore)
- Backup system
- IT - infrastructure provided during assembly and disassembly and operation of the check-in stations for guest embarkation
- Ship support service for IT; assistance to all departments (hotel as well as deck & engine) in case of ambiguity
Qualification / Job experience
- Qualified training in the IT sector
- Strong understanding of business management
- Good knowledge of English and German language
- Highly service orientated
- Very good computer skills (MS Office)
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure
- Good educational background
