What you’ll be doing
You’ll be overseeing the teams who prepare and clean our guest accommodation and working with other department managers to give our guests a great holiday. This will include:
- Helping to manage and motivate the accommodation team of supervisors, checkers, and accommodation cleaners
- Ensuring accommodation is ready for new arrivals and meeting or exceeding our high standards
- Supporting your supervisors to resolve issues and complaints so that guests feel valued
- Managing budgets and inventory and improving cost efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with all our policies, procedures and manuals
- Helping to recruit, welcome, train and motivate team members
One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays too.
Skills, experience, and qualities you’ll need
If you can demonstrate the following, let’s hear from you:
- Experience of a housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably in a holiday park
- Good leadership skills – able to manage and motivate people
- Able to use IT systems, such as ordering and training systems
- Good at verbal and written communication with people at all levels
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure while keeping an eye on the details
- Driving License essential
Ideally, you will have an NVQ in hospitality, customer services or tourism but don’t worry if you don’t; if you have the right skills, we still want to hear from you.
It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts which is captured by our Holiday Heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers, which you can read about on our website careers page, www.awayresorts.co.uk/careers
What we can offer you
Enjoy some great benefits, including:
- Competitive salary with bonuses
- Great pension scheme
- Health cash plan
- Discounts on Away Resorts holidays
- On-park discounts
- Team incentives
And, if you want to progress your career, we have a culture where anything is possible with effort and enthusiasm.
