General Manager – Theatres

Salary: £35,000-£45,000 based on experience ​


1life manages two theatres on behalf of St. Albans council. The venues host major events and deliver shows for some of the UK’s biggest named live acts.  In addition, the centres offer the local community facilities that support a wide range of recreational and arts events. Within spring 2021 a new centre with be completed in Harpenden that will replace the current theatre. 

1life are now seeking a strategic theatre and arts industry leader capable of delivering an inspired programme while leading the teams across both the venues to deliver the highest possible service standards.  The successful candidate will be resilient and demonstrate their ability to utilise their established industry network to quickly rebuild critical production company relationships following the recent challenges associated with forced closures. The role will require a strong commercial background and the ability to demonstrate growth, business planning and inspired leadership.
