Roving Painter and Decorator - Talacre

A new position has now become available for a Roving Painter and Decorator to join the Darwin Escapes team!

This is an exciting new position for someone with proven painting and decorating skills to work with our friendly teams across our 26 resorts, to maintain our guest accommodation to it’s highest potential ensuring we always display the five star standard our guests expect.

The main responsibility for this position will be to travel across our resorts as required, to complete renovation work on guest accommodation including hotel rooms and lodges ensuring the appearance of these are kept fresh and clean. You will also assist on renovation projects on company buildings where required, completing decoration on reception and complex areas.

For this position, we are looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator, who can display a record of high standard work on a professional level. Evidence of previous work may be requested upon interview.

The Roving Painter and Decorator position will be based from Talacre Beach Resort in North Wales, however will be a roving position to carry out repair and restoration work across all of our resorts. This will include travel and overnight stays to various places in the UK including Corwall, Cumbria, Yorkshire and Devon. Accommodation and transport will be provided. Due to the large amount of travelling within the role, a full driving licence is essential.

This is a permanent position to work full time hours. These are variable hours and may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to all resorts within the group as required, including overnight stays at sites
• Complete painting and decorating work on guest accommodation as instructed to a five star standard
• Assist in renovation projects on company buildings as required
• Maintain good working relationships and communication with Grounds, Maintenance and Projects teams on site

What experience you will need

• Previous professional experience in a painting and decorating position is essential
• Previous experience within the holiday park industry is an advantage
• Evidence of previous work is preferred

What skills you will need

• Good ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work away from home and travel as needed
• Self motivated to complete all jobs to given deadlines and to a five star standard
• A full driving licence is essential
