We are looking for an enthusiastic and results orientated individual, with strong team leadership credentials, to lead the warehouse nightshift operation at the Kettering Distribution Centre. You will be responsible for driving high standards throughout the team and ensuring continuous improvement; working 5 shifts per week over a 7 day period. 


Pay Rates

Circa £37,000 - inclusive of all relevant premiums

Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours

42.3 hours per week on an annualised hours basis.  This is a nightshift role, so shifts will fall between 9pm and 6am, 5 days over 7 which will include weekend working on a rotational shift basis.

About the role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all team members
  • Prioritise work load and problem solve
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently and accurately to meet targets
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers, colleagues and the People, Technical and Logistics teams to ensure the highest levels of customer service are delivered by the site
  • Adhere to Health and Safety standards at all times, ensuring policies and procedures are strictly followed
  • Take ownership of challenges arising from all areas
  • Assist in all areas of the warehouse if needed
  • Ensure areas are tidy and clear of rubbish on an on-going basis
  • Push continuous improvement via a proactive approach
  • Be flexible in the hours/days you are able to work

The ideal applicant, who will report into the Warehouse Manager, will need to be able to work in a team as well as alone, take pride in your work and manage your own work schedule.  You should be an effective communicator and be computer literate, in particular with Excel.   Initiative, problem solving and attention to detail are critical in the success of this role.

Experience of working in a supervisory role and having knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Safety would be an advantage, as would counter balance, boom and articulated fork lift licenses.
