Territory Manager (Area Sales Manager) – Retail / Healthcare

The Package

As a Territory Manager you will receive a base salary of £38,500 and have the opportunity to achieve OTE of £50,000 through a generous bonus scheme. Benefits include:

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working full time hours within Monday to Friday.

The Territory Manager (Area Sales Manager) Role

Reporting to the Area Manager and Sales Director, as a Territory Manager you will demonstrate leadership to deliver on the budgeted level of sales within your branches. You’ll be responsible for overseeing up to 8 branches within your designated region, and up to 30 employees.

80% of your time will be spent with colleagues in these branches, where you’ll demonstrate strong observation, feedback and coaching skills to improve and maximise individual and branch performance. Your duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Attending daily branch meetings
  • Ensuring all relevant employees are fully trained and identifying any specific training needs
  • Developing employees in line with company objectives
  • Working closely with the Area Manager and Regional HR Business Advisor to identify and manage performance and dealing with employee concerns
  • Assisting and supporting your team in resolving customer complaints in a timely manner
  • Undertaking individual audits and branch stock takes when required

What will I need to be considered for this Territory Manager (Area Sales Manager) vacancy?

  • Proven experience within a multi-branch sales management role, ideally gained within a geographically dispersed retail and / or healthcare business
  • Proven operational and people management experience
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting sales data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • IT literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn in-house systems
  • Ability to influence, motivate and coach others
  • Strong organisational, effective decision making and problem-solving skills
