The Restaurant Group Plc (TRG) is a significant player in the UK casual dining market, operating over 400 restaurants and pubs which include Frankie and Benny's, Wagamama, Chiquito, and Brunning & Price pubs.  We also operate a concession business, which trades in many of the UK airports.

This is an exciting time for TRG - as well as recent changes and innovation to develop our offering and customer experience in our established, iconic brands such as Frankie and Benny's, we are also pursuing other growth opportunities within the dining sector, exploiting online brands, delivery, click and collect and grab and go.

Overview of responsibilities:

  • Accurate processing and coding of vendor invoices both manually and via either our stock and order system or scanning solution system
  • Supplier reconciliations, identifying and following up on any discrepancies
  • Responsible for correctly allocating invoices / credit notes for authorisation
  • Confidently resolve queries using both written and verbal communication and building strong supplier and internal relationships
  • Sorting daily post and the AP shared mailbox
  • Support other members of the accounts payable team as and when required
  • Adhering to month end deadlines
  • Support the AP Supervisors and Manager in driving change in the team and wider business

Knowledge, Skills and abilities required:

  • A good understanding of accounts payable and basic double entry
  • Minimum of 12 months Accounts payable experience
  • Proven experience of working in a professional team adhering to deadlines
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and a desire for problem solving
  • Experience in system / process implementation desired
  • Food and Beverage / Stock experience across multi-sites desired  

Competencies:

  • Working well with others and being an integral part of the team
  • Navision skills preferable
  • Fourth / Trade Simple skills preferable
  • Good Microsoft excel skills needed
  • Data entry and processing skills
