The Rams Head, is a beautiful traditional pub situated on a cobbled lane in the historical village of Grappenhall, Cheshire. This Cask Marque accredited pub has a well-established reputation for great food and fantastic ales and is a lovely destination for local residents and visitors from the wider area to unwind and meet for a relaxing drink or meal and enjoy the local surroundings. The pub offers fabulous facilities with a generous open plan trading area for drinking and dining, a fabulous outdoor eating/and drinking space and a large well-equipped commercial kitchen.

This Cheshire pub offers open plan trading with a mix of areas for drinking, dining which sit around a large centralised bar with approximately 100 covers throughout. The trading space is open and airy with some fantastic original including inviting open fires and a unique glass covered well viewing point! In addition, there is seating at the front of the pub and a large paved garden area to the rear to enjoy al fresco dining and drinking on warmer days. The pub car park offers plenty of parking, with space for up to 30 cars and WIFI.

About the local area

The Rams Head sits on a lovely cobbled Church lane in the desirable and affluent village of Grappenhall. The pub is just outside Warrington and 19 miles drive from Cheshire. The village is affluent with its large houses and sprawling gardens, a pretty village church (frequented for weddings), a local primary school, cricket club which make this a sociable village. Alongside this the Bridgewater Canal runs through the village and attracts both boaters and walkers.

The village has some interesting history including a carving of a cat on the village church tower, which was thought to be the inspiration for the Cheshire Cat in Lewis Carroll's book 'Alice’s adventures in Wonderland'.
