Work PatternOur usual working hours are Monday- Friday, however due to the nature of our business we may require you to be flexible. Working is currently home based, however this is subject to review.
Job DescriptionWithin the IT & Business Change function as the Infrastructure manager you will lead a team delivering critical services in support of Greggs business operations and objectives. You will lead the implementation, delivery and continual improvement of Greggs IT Infrastructure and Networking that underpin the delivery of IT services to the Greggs business. You will be responsible for driving technology strategies, roadmaps and service improvement initiatives and the delivery of services to agreed levels of performance. Leadership and development of a both the Infrastructure and Network Teams ensuring aligned projects and workloads are on delivered on time in a quality manner.
Key Duties- IT StrategyPlay a key role in the Greggs IT & Business Change development by:
- Assisting in the development of a departmental strategy and support driving this forward IT & Business Change projects and priorities.
- Identifying opportunities for the application of technology in support of continual improvement within IT
- Maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies.
- Developing and maintaining technical standards, policies and operating practices
- Manage the relationship with business leaders, 3rd party partners and suppliers
Responsible for leading the Network & Infrastructure team, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to deliver a high-quality service by:
- Ensuring training requirements are identified
- Leading and driving a culture of strong customer service
- Coaching, mentoring, developing and managing performance of individuals and the team
- Ensuring all work undertaken is accurate, complies with current best practice and is of a consistently high quality
- Effectively engaging and communicating with the team
Oversight and planning of Network & Infrastructure team workloads and resource allocation to ensure that:
- Resource requirements and availability is managed within the team
- There is an effective skills matrix for the team which identifies key person dependencies and skills gaps
- Network & Infrastructure projects are aligned to business objectives
- IT&BC projects and priorities are resourced accordingly
Oversee Network & Infrastructure budgets including:
- Identification of forecasts associated with service strategies
- Identification of annual service costs Identification of ad-hoc 1-time costs
- Monitoring and maintenance of expenditure within agreed budgets
- Delivering services within risk appetite and within regulatory controls
- Ensuring adherence to policies, standards, controls and procedures
- Ensuring risks are communicated effectively
- Maintain a relationship with internal Risk team and external auditors management
- Continually improve the development of Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans

You will have a track record of successfully delivering high available services within an operating model guided by a principle of secure-by-design. In addition to your technical expertise, you will be proficient in stakeholder management, Management reporting, risk management, supplier relationship management, business case development and managing a budget.
You will have the ability to challenge effectively and constructively and help shape the future, whilst driving best practice within the Greggs Network & Infrastructure team and beyond.
You will be an excellent communicator, innovative and self-motived, with a positive approach to teamwork.
