Your role at Signature

As our Employee Relations Consultant, you’ll be responsible for aspects of ER support and guidance within our 13 care and nursing homes. You’ll work alongside our General Managers, People Services Managers and other department heads to ensure that legal compliance is fully adhered to, and that good practices are established and maintained with respect to Signature’s HR procedures.

Your role will include managing high risk cases commercially and legally, reviewing and updating policies in line with Signature’s value and employment legislation, managing day-to-day activities with employment law service providers and ensuring that any ACAS letters and employment tribunal applications are managed in a timely and appropriate manner. In addition, you’ll be responsible for supporting and coaching on matters including discipline, grievance, appeals and short and long-term absence.

You’ll be able to multitask effectively to deliver against tight timescales. You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships. You must be able to drive and be willing to commute around our homes 4 days each week, one day will be working from home or based in our Support Office in Beaconsfield.

As well as previous Employee Relations experience and proven understanding and application of UK employment law, a CIPD level 7 qualification would be an advantage.
