Full Time contract, based on 40 hours per week, £10.50 - £11.00 per hour. Shifts are generally spread Monday – Friday.

About you

As a Production Chef at Daylesford you will be working towards producing the highest-quality food in our Black Barn production kitchen at our organic farm in rural Gloucestershire. You will be working amongst a team who consistently thrive through delivering the best performance in order to ensure that all work is completed efficiently, safely and appropriately.

The ideal candidate will be a strong team-player with a passion for food, cooking, and great quality organic produce. You will be working within a fast-paced, varied and extremely rewarding environment, and your duties will include the following: basic food preparation, packing, cleaning and general kitchen duties. Experience is not essential but would be of an advantage. Uniform and Safety Shoes are provided

Main responsibilities

  • To ensure that all meals/recipes are prepared consistently and to the highest quality
  • To ensure that range-changes are completed and fulfilled in the required timescales, with the level being maintained in the process
  • To ensure that all ingredients are prepared, weighed and measured ready for production
  • To highlight Health and Safety matters to your line manager
  • Working safely and efficiently to ensure that all daily orders are completed above the required fulfilment rate
  • To comply with the production unit’s internal audit requirements
  • To execute all food preparation in a timely and professional manner
  • To ensure all work areas are clean and tidy at all times 
  • To always promote a positive image of Daylesford Organic 
  • To adhere to the standards set out by the Soil Association and SALSA Auditors
