General Manager – Premium Family Health Club - Surrey

We are looking for a General Manager to have responsibility of a renowned multi-facility leisure club in the heart of Surrey.

As General Manager you will be responsible for delivering a consistently excellent level of customer service through a well-coached and engaged team of front line, full and part time staff.

You will solely be responsible for the operational performance and commercial success of the business.

The successful candidate will demonstrate;

  • A minimum of three years senior management experience (General Managers or above) should apply.
  • A strong ‘Business Ownership’ mentality and relish the opportunity to have significant autonomy and empowerment in managing your business.
  • Have outstanding people and man management skills.
  • Possess a positive approach to opportunities and challenges at all times and a demonstrable successful track record in your current/previous roles.
  • Possess a ‘can do’ attitude and a great work ethic
  • The ability to produce comprehensive business plans for each of the areas of responsibility in accordance with the Company’s strategic aims
  • Lead the production of a sales and marketing plan, promotion and communications plan for the business to include a comprehensive approach to both online and offline channels.
  • Responsibility for the financial performance of all areas of responsibility and achieving agreed sales and retention targets and budgetary targets for both income and expenditure.
  • To implement, monitor and report on appropriate metrics to measure customer satisfaction and consult with customers, using feedback to drive service improvement and improve the customer experience.
  • The ability to  instigate and build relationships with external groups and partners as required, including brokering sponsorship and partnership agreements, to maximise the service provisions, increase profit and positive marketing and PR opportunities.  
  • To ensure that the business planning process delivers improved financial performance, higher standards of service quality and the best possible customer experience, in particular in a COVID Secure facility.
