About the Role

Are you passionate about Data and Optimisation? Do you get up in the morning excited about finding and solving problems? In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering high profile initiatives within key data systems in Asda Online Grocery.

As the Data Project Manager you will be responsible for managing a backlog of key data projects as well as discovering new, key problem solving initiatives using data. You will lead system development through a clear collaborative approach and defined process to enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency and drive sales in the fastest growing area of the business. You will need to  have an innovative approach and create a clear vision to succeed in this fast-paced tech environment.  Alongside this you will need to have confidence with data interpretation and a strong, proactive communication and leadership style.

Day to day you can expect to be involved in a variety of activities, including, partnering with key stakeholders to define and deliver a clear programme of activity within the Data Systems to get the most out of the data we hold and supporting a team of Data Engineers efficiently, to increase the capability of the online grocery function.

About You

The successful candidate will likely have experience working in a similar role and have a strong understanding of eCommerce. Experience working in a fast-paced tech environment and utilising a variety of technologies and methodologies will be crucial in order to hit the ground running. You will need to be able to demonstrate working knowledge of agile methodologies and practices, alongside the ability to influence and partner with key stakeholders across eCommerce disciplines. The ability to communicate effectively and lead your team to deliver great results is essential and will set you up for success.
