This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with previous management and sales experience, ideally within the leisure industry with a particular focus on customer experience.

The Club Manager is responsible for the general running of all aspects of the club with specific emphasis on the sale of new memberships, retention of existing members, management of staff and suppliers plus health and safety requirements.

The Abingdon gym, spread over 6,000 square feet and boasting state-of-the-art Life Fitness and Hammer Strength equipment, is conveniently located near the Fairacres Retail Park and the 24-hour Tesco. It is the premier facility in Abingdon and easily accessible from the A34 and local residential areas.

With the gym having been open for approaching 4 years, the emphasis is on membership growth as well as ongoing retention of existing members. Continuing the excellent work of the current manager in developing the positive atmosphere and community feel within the gym will form an important part of your role.

Specific Requirements

• Ideally worked as a gym manager or equivalent role
• A positive attitude and enthusiastic disposition are essential
• A natural leader with the ability to motivate others
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• A target driven self-motivator
