Could you run this pub?
The Crown is a very pretty, rural pub in the village of Newgate Street. Near Cuffley, in Hatfield civil parish. It is within easy driving distance of Hertford and on the doorstep of Cheshunt and the M25.
The pub sits in a great position on the village road, with a side beer garden to enjoy drinks in the sunshine and parking for the local villagers and those visiting the area to enjoy the countryside for the day who might want a beer or gin, or maybe a bite to eat or delicious Sunday lunch.

Business facilities
The pub offers an open plan bar and dining room separated by a welcoming open fire and offer up to 50 covers overall. There is also a kitchen. The pub garden and patio sit to the side of the pub both being popular with families and there is parking for up to 15 cars. It also offers It's a beautiful looking pub both inside and out.

The pub is just thirty minutes from London yet sits in an area amongst thousands of acres of woodland and countryside, the village sits on the Hertfordshire Way and miles of footpaths, bike trails and bridleways making it an appealing destination to get outdoors and visit.
The village is home to two lovely pubs (The Crown and The Coach & Horses), a Mediterranean restaurant and a 19C church making it a known destination for a bite to eat or drinks with friends and family.
On a major cycling thoroughfare, the village is also an entry point to many of the county’s bike trails and attracts regular cyclists.

This pub may suit
We are looking for a Publican who has a passion for village pubs and community, you will have the skill to manage a quality food offer, and a welcoming hub for villagers and those visiting the pub from the wider area and be able to build lasting relationships with regulars.

About the Agreement

Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 - 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.

You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have dedicated Punch Development Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations and accounting expertise.

Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we'll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.

Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.

* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (3,000 or 6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Punch Development Manager
