Hourly Rates: £9.161 rising to £9.617 after approx. 3 months (Sunday’s are paid at double time)

Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours

Hours: 20

Shifts: We are looking for Production Hygiene Operatives to join us at Balliol! This is a temporary contract(3 months) and you will be working 20 hours per week, shift patterns are Saturday 09:00-18:00 and Sunday 06:00-18:00.

Job Description

As a Hygiene Operative, you’ll work as part of a close-knit team and play a major part in delivering some of the nation’s much loved products. You will be part of a large team deep cleaning the factory during non-Production hours. Everyone has a passion for quality and follows all the correct processes and procedures to ensure the best products are produced in a clean and food safe environment and our customers are satisfied.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to follow clear procedures and processes including correct safe use of PPE
  • Comfortable with cleaning, using chemicals, physical work including long periods of standing, lifting and carrying
  • No evidence of respiratory problems (as working in a bakery environment has exposure to flour and dust and would not suit individuals with respiratory problems)
  • Legal entitlement to work in the UK (e.g. Valid VISA or Work Permit for non EEC residents)
  • Flexible in availability for working hours (as may be required to work different shifts each week, or asked to work overtime)
Skills
  • Experience in cleaning within a role
  • Comfortable with long periods of standing, lifting and carrying
  • Comfortable with working in a food environment
  • No evidence of respiratory problems (as working in a bakery environment has exposure to flour and dust and would not suit individuals with respiratory problems)
  • Legal entitlement to work in the UK (e.g. Valid VISA or Work Permit for non EEC residents)
  • Flexible in availability for working hours (as may be required to work different shifts each week, or asked to work overtime).
