Catering Assistant Team Leader (Northbound)​ - Full Time -Tebay Services

About The Role

You will support your team leader to organise your team for the smoothest service ensuring high standards are maintained and the best quality food is on offer. Acting as host to our customers you will be passionate about our cause, and know our food inside out. Along with your team leader you will lead by example and motivate your team to use the same attention to detail and initiative to deliver a unique and memorable customer experience that you do.

You will also;

1. Support the team leader to communicate the plan for the day,  to ensure that the cafe is all set to go, spotlessly clean, ensuring products are available and immaculately displayed   
2. Interact and share advice with customers, keep up to date with your knowledge and know our food inside out to offer a great personal customer experience;  how our food is made, what garnishes to use, dietary needs
3. Check in with the team leader throughout the day. It is important to ensure maximum team productivity and prompt service and ensure food is replenished, fresh and available for customers
4. Understand the daily paperwork, ensure it is accurate and compliant and that any concerns are escalated
5. Be a whizz on the till – efficient and accurate. 
6. Support your colleagues by rolling your sleeves up and working alongside your team to deliver the smooth running of your shift, wherever is needed.
7. Support your team leader with delivery of the learning journey to new colleagues
8. Work with the team leader to provide on the job coaching to equip your team with the tools to deliver brilliant customer service

About You

Previous experience in a catering environment and/or a supervisory role would be an advantage but a positive mindset and a warm and friendly customer service style is essential
