General Manager - KickTown The O2 - London

KickTown are scouting for a Manager for their Concept Arena launching in the O2 in December 2019.

KickTown is the first football challenge club in the world, an innovative tech-led football experience that integrates physical football challenges with the digital world. KickTown are looking to employ an enthusiastic and reliable manager with an interest in sport.

The Manager is key to the success of KickTown. Providing assistance to customers, creating an organized, fun and exciting experience and ensuring everything runs smoothly. This is a great opportunity to grow with the business and be part of the core operational team.

Previous football experience is not required; however you will need to demonstrate previous experience at supervising team members, ideally within the leisure industry.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with staff duty delegation- managers are responsible for running the shift timetable and making sure both front and back of house is running smoothly.
  • Conduct sales and recommendation of products, every employee is responsible to sell and cross sell all our products. Even if you are not at the front desk, the expectation is we are always selling.
  • Maintain a friendly, outgoing personality with our guests and team members.
  • Provide guests with a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks.
  • Assist in managing inventory on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for coordinating opening and closing arena procedures.
  • Act as a first responder to emergencies and respond appropriately and complete incident reports as the first aider on site.
  • Help maintain a clean environment.
  • Cash-control measures: Required to cash in tills, cash out tills, create deposits, and be aware of basic cash-handling procedures.
  • Daily reports to head office, listing sales figures, incidents and entry numbers.

Qualifications:

  • Retail sales and leisure management experience highly desired.
  • Great Leadership and motivational skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule during normal business hours, including weekends and some holidays.
  • Comfortable engaging with large groups of people.
  • Must have previous customer service skills.
  • Must be able to project voice to a crowd
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (C in Maths and English GCSE).
  • Interest in sport/football a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Noise level is moderate to loud.
  • Moderate level of fitness.
