Receptionist - The Coniston Hotel, Skiption

24 hours per week Receptionist to Cover Maternity

3 x 8 hour shifts to include evenings and weekends

To undertake the duties of Reception/Cashiering and Reservations, making sure that the Reception Department is efficient and profitable. To ensure that guest’s expectations are exceeded where possible and to assist with the general running and control of the department.

  • To be confident and take pride in ensuring the well-being, satisfaction and comfort of all guests within the limits of the Department and to establish a highly personalised style of service and attention to guests in keeping with the atmosphere of a family run Hotel
  • To establish a courteous, helpful and friendly attitude to all guests at all times and to be confident to use guest names at every available opportunity.
  • To be confident in the full understanding of all equipment within the Front Office including Guestline and Premier Systems, (training provided). Word, Excel and Email.
  • All staff should be confident in understanding and executing the company’s policies and procedures with respect to privacy, confidentiality and data protection.

Person specification

ESSENTIAL

  • Previous experience of working as a Receptionist in the leisure/retail sector
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work a varied work pattern including weekends and public and bank holidays

DESIRABLE

  • Previous experience of working as a Receptionist in a four-star hotel and conference venue
