We currently have a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic and outgoing Assistant Restaurant Manager to work for our exciting business on the beautiful Suffolk coast at The Brudenell Hotel in Aldeburgh.

Founded in 1996, we are now one of East Anglia’s leading independent family run hotel and leisure businesses with 6 hotels in our collection.

Overall Job Purpose:
To take responsibility for the day to day running of the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. To assist the Restaurant Manager in maintaining the highest possible standards at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety are always maintained at the highest possible level.
• Help with training and assisting new staff as and when required.
• Communicate effectively with the team.
• To enforce an 'upselling' culture in the team.

Customer Focus:

• Encourage a “customer first” culture within the team.
• Keep product knowledge up-to-date, know the daily specials, seasonal and local dishes.
• To be an effective 'host' and be present to pre-empt guest requirements.
• Be available to take orders and to serve where necessary.
• Respond to guest and customer requests and feedback.
• Be able to tell customers about the content of each menu choice.
• Adhere to all health and safety and fire prevention procedures.
• Assist the Restaurant Manager in achieving company set financial goals.
