Carpenter - Puttshack London HQ

Puttshack are looking for a carpenter & joiner who can work with the current and expanding team to deliver their product across the next wave of venues, facilitating rapid expansion both in the UK and worldwide.

THE ROLE
Working as a carpenter & Joiner at Puttshack puts you right at the heart of the business, working in a challenging and rewarding role where there is real opportunity to help shape the future of the product offering.

YOU - ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• At least an NVQ 2 in Carpentry & Joinery/Wood Occupations or the equivalent.
• You must have a broad skill set & between two and five years’ experience within carpentry & Joinery.
• Manual skills and quality of work are essential in this role along with accuracy and cleanliness.
• You have good problem solving skills.
• You have good understanding of scribing & cladding unusual shapes & surfaces.
• Experience in manufacturing & fabrication.
• Be able to assemble components to a specification.
• Be able to read & understand technical drawings.
• An understanding of 3D modelling & CAD software would be beneficial.
• You have a good, working material knowledge, including timber, plastics & metals.
• CSCS card would be beneficial but not essential.
• Fluent English speaking with excellent communications skills.
• A full UK driving license.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• The main responsibility of candidates is to assist the Production Manager and team in ensuring the production department runs in a timely manner, jobs are accurately manufactured to the highest quality level possible and deliveries are loaded and dispatched on time.
• You will be required to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with tight deadlines. Health and Safety and Safe Working Procedures are key components to the success of our production team, so attention to detail on safety procedures whilst working in our environment is essential.
• To assist the design team when working on new development ideas & communicate design issues at the production level.
